The role uses a modern approach to traditional IT problems, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), shell scripting, and workflow automation with Temporal and Go. The work spans networking, security, integrations, and internal IT systems, with thorough code reviews and an open design process.

Responsibilities

Build next-generation IT workflow automation tooling using Temporal and Go running on Kubernetes.
Collaborate with the engineering team on dogfooding Teleport, specifically Teleport Identity and Teleport Policy.
Build hardened security and automation for macOS endpoints.
Write IT automation using Terraform, shell scripts, and Go.
Develop integrations with Panther, Jamf Pro, Okta, Rippling, and Google Chrome Enterprise.
Handle traditional IT helpdesk tasks, including assisting internal customers with access, lockouts, integrations, and configuration.
Set up and debug IT tools, including Okta, Rippling, and Zendesk.
Work with Kubernetes, Go, and Temporal.

Requirements

Willingness and ability to work across traditional IT tasks, helpdesk activities, IT tool configuration, and deeper Kubernetes and Go/Temporal engineering work.
Programming experience in Go; experience with Temporal is a bonus.
Linux systems engineering experience.
Kubernetes experience.
Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform.
Shell scripting experience.
IT security and administration experience.

Nice to Have

Experience with data warehousing concepts and platforms such as AWS Redshift, Fivetran, and dbt.
