Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform used by businesses to accept payments, grow revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities.
The Enterprise Hunter Solutions Architecture Team helps new users adopt prescriptive solutions that support their growth and success. The team works with C-level executives, finance leaders, product design teams, and engineering teams at global brands building financial services solutions with Stripe. Solutions Architects collaborate closely with Account Executives, Professional Services, Partners, and Product Teams to develop strategies for winning new users.
This leader will build teams, develop people, deliver results, and work cross-functionally as a trusted advisor to sales, partner, and professional services teams. The role will also help shape Stripe's product and messaging with product development and marketing teams. As a manager of Solutions Architecture for new business, this person will recruit, lead, and mentor a pre-sales engineering team, drive collaboration across functions, influence stakeholders at all levels, and deliver outcomes for users.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, lead, and retain a world-class pre-sales team.
- Advocate for the Solutions Architecture team within the organization.
- Nurture and model a positive outlook, can-do attitude, and growth mindset while motivating Solutions Architects in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Manage team KPIs and deliver outstanding results.
- Define and drive team success by strengthening skills in landing new enterprise users.
- Partner with Sales Leaders to identify top opportunities and help Solutions Architects execute strategies.
- Align with Sales, Marketing, and technical teams, including Professional Services, Partners, Product, and Development, to develop joint go-to-market initiatives that drive positive user experiences, outcomes, revenue retention, and growth.
- Serve as the Technical Sponsor on key deals for Stripe's Hunter Team.
- Act as an executive champion and lead executive business calls with key customers.
- Demonstrate strong executive engagement skills and presence, establish relationships with key decision-makers, and build credibility at all organizational levels.
- Represent Stripe at industry events and conferences and customer business reviews.
- Contribute new ideas and industry best practices.
- Stay current on industry trends and competitive dynamics and use this knowledge to shape user-engagement strategies.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of pre-sales leadership experience.
- More than 10 years of experience in a technical sales, consulting, implementation, or go-to-market function.
- A track record of building and leading world-class Solutions Architecture or engineering teams, ideally in a SaaS, usage-based, or payments business.
- Energy, enthusiasm, and passion for making a team successful.
- Previous technical sales experience with APIs and/or experience in the payments industry.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to foster deep relationships with users.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time to engage with customers and collaborate with internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in Media and Entertainment, Gaming, Retail, or Financial Services.
