Perplexity is seeking creative, AI-native engineers to join its Enterprise Adoption team. The team is focused on improving how Perplexity Computer is used by the company and its enterprise customers, enabling new ways of working in an agentic future.

Perplexity uses AI tools across frontend and backend engineering, applied AI research, business operations, recruiting, go-to-market, finance, legal, support, and operations. This role will engineer core systems that make Computer an indispensable multiplier for internal teams, with learnings applied to enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prioritize, and execute on high-potential opportunities to make Computer transformative for every Perplexity team by building the core systems needed to support those opportunities.
  • Develop empathy for the work of technical and business teams across disciplines and verticals, including recruiting, sales, finance, support, legal, and operations, and collaborate with them to use AI in new ways.
  • Make knowledge stores, systems, and human-orchestrated processes legible to Computer by engineering connectors, skills, and evaluation infrastructure that unlock team use cases at scale.
  • Close the loop between internal usage and the Computer product by translating the friction and successes of real work into core product and platform improvements.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Design, Data Science, Sales, and enterprise customers to turn process needs into simple, reliable Computer product experiences.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience. Experience building platforms for enterprise or internal users is a plus.
  • Daily use of AI models and tools, with strong knowledge of the latest frontier technologies.
  • Proficiency with Python and experience with TypeScript, Go, or other programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of the work performed by non-technical staff in enterprises, along with curiosity about business and operations teams who will use the products.
  • Broad working knowledge of the modern AI agent stack, including agents, connectors, context engineering, and evaluations, with strong intuition about where agents perform well and where they have limitations.
  • Familiarity with MCP, including what it is and when, where, and why it is used.
  • Strong product judgment and the ability to simplify agent user experiences for customers with varying levels of technical ability.
