Details

AppLovin is seeking a Partner Solutions Engineer - Ads to work in Palo Alto at the intersection of product, engineering, and the partner ecosystem. The role focuses on owning the technical relationship with strategic third-party integration partners, enabling adoption of CAPI and tracking infrastructure, troubleshooting integration issues, and translating recurring partner friction into product improvements.

Approximately 90% of the role is partner-facing, including implementation guidance, troubleshooting, strategic consultation, and identifying API and integration-flow gaps. The remaining 10% involves building fixes, internal tooling, and scripts to address recurring issues.

Responsibilities

Partner Integration and Enablement

  • Own the end-to-end technical onboarding and integration experience for strategic third-party partners across CAPI, web SDK, and APIs.
  • Guide advertisers and partners through the correct implementation of Axon's tracking and data infrastructure.
  • Proactively identify and resolve misconfigurations before they affect performance.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for partner-specific issues across new integration pilots, including API flows and sandbox/testing environments.
  • Translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable guidance for technical and non-technical audiences.

Analytical Problem Solving

  • Investigate, reproduce, and resolve technical issues involving web SDK, CAPI, and API integrations.
  • Use data analysis to identify root causes, anomalies, performance drops, attribution discrepancies, and integration edge cases.
  • Query and visualize large data sets.
  • Build internal tooling and scripts to streamline troubleshooting, automate validation steps, and accelerate partner debugging.
  • Identify patterns across partner issues and convert recurring friction points into concrete product improvement recommendations.

Cross-Functional Impact

  • Collaborate with AppLovin engineering teams to architect and prioritize scalable solutions to integration problems.
  • Connect partners with internal engineering teams and ensure partner feedback influences product and API roadmap decisions.
  • Support new integration pilots by owning sandbox validation and proactive issue resolution.
  • Influence internal stakeholders and leadership through data-centric presentations.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience, including production-quality code in dynamic environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong foundation in web-based integrations, including CAPI, server-side tracking, APIs, pixels, or equivalent advertising technology infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or general-purpose language, such as Python or JavaScript, with the ability to build lightweight tooling independently.
  • Experience querying large data sets with SQL and using data to debug, validate, and surface insights.
  • Clear and precise written communication skills, with the ability to participate in internal technical discussions and external partner communications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in ad tech, performance marketing, or e-commerce advertising, including familiarity with attribution, data signals, ROAS, and measurement concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Google Tag Manager, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience working with enterprise or strategic B2B partners in a technical capacity.
  • Experience identifying product gaps from operational experience and driving improvements into engineering roadmaps.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving and ambiguous environment.
  • Previous experience in solutions engineering, partner engineering, or forward-deployed engineering.

Compensation and Benefits

  • California base pay range: $126,000–$188,000 USD per year.
  • Equity eligible.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
