Details
ClickHouse is looking for an experienced Product Marketing Engineer to join its Product Team. The role involves developing deep expertise as a ClickHouse practitioner and translating technical product concepts into compelling messaging for prospective customers. Content may include blog posts, benchmarks, deep dives, guides, demos, conference and meetup presentations, webpages, documentation, and more.
The role also includes competitive analysis and benchmarking to define and refine ClickHouse’s market positioning, with the objective of increasing product awareness and successful adoption.
Responsibilities
- Become a ClickHouse subject matter expert.
- Create product and marketing collateral, including blog posts, benchmarks, guides, demos, webpages, documentation, and conference and meetup presentations.
- Help define and drive the content strategy and roadmap.
- Evaluate and iterate on the content strategy using metrics and stakeholder feedback.
- Track efficacy, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Translate technical features and nuances into clear, concise value propositions addressing customer needs and pain points.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify positioning opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, marketing, and engineering teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering or product marketing engineering experience.
- Strong technical background and the ability to understand complex engineering concepts and communicate them effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling engineering content.
- Proven project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and organizational levels.
- Passion for technology and innovation, with a drive to stay current on industry trends and advancements.
- Deep understanding of databases, particularly OLAP.
- Fluency in SQL.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Compensation
The typical starting salary for this role in the United States is $140,000–$185,000 USD. A premium market range of $165,000–$215,000 USD may apply in locations such as the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City Metro Area.
