The Macro Industries – SFS TPD data team supports Sustainable Finance Solutions Third Party Data by acquiring, processing, validating, and storing environmental, social, and governance data using open-source, third-party, and proprietary technology.
The Data Management Professional role is responsible for optimizing data for clients and improving data operations. The role acts as a technical leader by setting strategies for data products, developing interconnected data models, designing data schemas and pipelines, and ensuring data integrity. Specialty areas include statistical analysis and data visualization, data engineering, product ownership, data modeling, and data quality.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data workflows that integrate structured and unstructured datasets while maintaining robust quality controls.
- Develop database schemas and ETL processes to efficiently onboard and process new datasets.
- Analyze metadata and internal processes to identify and implement innovative improvements.
- Establish data governance standards and best practices, including business rules for programmatic data validation based on market conventions.
- Build comprehensive data quality monitoring and reporting systems using statistical analysis and visualization techniques.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to develop and execute client-focused data strategies.
- Mentor technical team members and promote best practices across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in STEM or a relevant data technology field, or equivalent professional work experience in software development.
- At least 4 years of professional experience programming and scripting in Python production environments.
- At least 4 years of experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Understanding and experience with data modeling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain sophisticated technical concepts to different stakeholders.
