Grafana Cloud is a fully managed observability platform built for scale, with actually useful AI to help organizations see, understand, and act on disparate data. Grafana Labs is a 100% remote company with team members across 40+ countries.
This role sits on the Field Engineering team which works closely with the Presales Solution Engineering team, Product, and Marketing to provide backend systems, content, enablement, and subject matter expertise that enable Solution Engineering to scale and focus on customer-facing selling, community building, and adoption activities. The role supports technical presales activities, creates technical content, and acts as an SME for one or more products.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate the needs of the Solutions Engineering team
- Design, develop, and deliver technical presentations and white papers
- Create and deliver training materials, product demonstrations, and product workshops for internal One-X organization, customers, and the community
- Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Experience teams to support customer engagements
- Serve as a subject matter expert on one or more products to assist the field with deep-dive technical meetings, strategic POVs, blogs, webinars, and more
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical experience, serving as an SRE, Developer, Architect and/or successful presales Solution Architect
- Deep understanding of at least two to three technologies in the observability space (examples: Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Tempo, Elastic, Splunk, Datadog)
- Experience planning and executing a corporate observability strategy
- Comfortable with at least one modern programming language
- Understanding of the modern software development lifecycle, including debugging and investigation
- Working familiarity with Linux and common tools
- Ability to architect a modern application on a primary cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
- Knowledge of technologies commonly used in such architectures (Kubernetes, Docker, Serverless, Microservices) and the trade-offs between build vs buy
- Experience building and delivering technical content for technical audiences (workshops, demos, decks, webinars, videos)
- OSS selling experience is a plus
Compensation & Rewards
- In the Netherlands, the annual OTE compensation range for this role is 96,000 - 116,000 EUR
- Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset
- All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)
