Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to support its Solutions Engineering organization in Germany. The Field Engineering team works with Presales Solution Engineering, Product, and Marketing to provide the tools, collateral, enablement, and subject-matter expertise needed to support customer engagements and scale technical presales activities.

Responsibilities

Anticipate the needs of the Solutions Engineering team.
Design, develop, and deliver technical presentations and white papers.
Create and deliver training materials, product demonstrations, and product workshops for the One-X organization, customers, and the community.
Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Experience teams to support customer engagements.
Become a subject-matter expert on one or more Grafana products and assist the field with deep-dive technical meetings, large strategic proofs of value, blogs, webinars, and related activities.

Requirements

5+ years of technical experience as an SRE, developer, architect, and/or successful presales Solution Architect. Open-source software selling experience is a plus.
Deep understanding of at least two or three observability technologies, such as Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Tempo, Elastic, Splunk, or Datadog.
Experience planning and executing a corporate observability strategy.
Comfort with at least one modern programming language.
Understanding of the modern software development lifecycle, including debugging and investigation.
Working familiarity with Linux and common Linux tools.
Ability to architect a modern application on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
Understanding of architectural trade-offs between build and buy, as well as technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, serverless, and microservices.
Experience building and delivering technical content for technical audiences, including workshops, demos, presentations, webinars, and videos.

Compensation & Rewards

The annual on-target earnings compensation range in Germany is EUR 120,000–145,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset. The role includes Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
