The Opportunity

The Field Engineering team partners closely with Presales Solution Engineering, Product, and Marketing to provide tools, collateral, enablement, and subject-matter expertise that help Solution Engineers scale. The team maintains backend systems, creates content, and provides deep product knowledge so SEs can focus on customer engagement, community building, and adoption.

Responsibilities

Anticipate the needs of the Solutions Engineering team.
Design, develop, and deliver technical presentations and white papers.
Create and deliver training materials, product demonstrations, and product workshops internally, to customers, and to the community.
Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Experience to support customer engagements.
Become a subject-matter expert on one or more products to assist the field with deep-dive technical meetings, strategic POVs, blogs, webinars, and more.

Requirements

5+ years of technical experience in roles such as SRE, Developer, Architect, and/or presales Solution Architect.
Deep understanding of at least two to three technologies in the observability space (examples given: Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Tempo, Elastic, Splunk, Datadog).
Experience planning and executing a corporate observability strategy.
Comfortable with at least one modern programming language.
Understanding of the modern software development lifecycle, including debugging and investigation.
Working familiarity with Linux and common Linux tools.
Ability to architect modern applications on a primary cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including use of IAC tools such as Terraform; familiarity with technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Serverless, Microservices and trade-offs between build vs buy.
Experience building and delivering technical content for technical audiences (workshops, demos, decks, webinars, videos).

Compensation & Rewards

Germany annual OTE compensation range: 120000 - 145000 EUR.
Roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
Actual compensation may vary by level, experience, and skillset; country-specific ranges apply.
