Details

NVIDIA's SoC Memory Subsystem team is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to develop firmware for NVLINK-C2C and support validation, debugging, and silicon bring-up for NVIDIA products. The role involves boot architecture, security, low-power states, RAS, telemetry, and interface feature enablement across embedded systems and computer architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop firmware for NVLINK-C2C interfaces.
  • Validate and debug firmware during silicon bring-up for NVIDIA products.
  • Work on boot architecture and security aspects of NVLINK-C2C interfaces.
  • Define architectural specifications for microcontrollers and processors used for boot and runtime functions.
  • Plan and implement NVLINK-C2C interfaces, validation activities, and feature enablement.
  • Implement low-power states, reliability, availability, and serviceability (RAS), and telemetry functions.
  • Apply expertise in digital and analog systems, computer architecture, and debugging to solve complex problems.
  • Refine interface bring-up and validation strategies.
  • Collaborate across disciplines and assume different responsibilities throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering with a focus on embedded systems, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience in boot architecture and firmware design.
  • Excellent RTL and digital design skills.
  • Experience with high-speed I/O interfaces is a plus.
  • Strong coding skills in C, C++, and Python.
  • Understanding of data structures.
  • Knowledge of ASIL processes and workflows is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of PC systems, Windows, and Linux.
  • Excellent debugging skills and the ability to break problems down using first principles.
  • Strong collaboration and cross-disciplinary teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with C, C++, Java, Python, or Perl.
  • Experience with embedded firmware.
  • Deep understanding of technology and passion for the work.
  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, including the ability to guide and influence effectively in a dynamic matrix environment.
