Senior Product Manager – Universal KYC (MetaMask Passport)

Consensys is a leading blockchain and Web3 software company building products and infrastructure for the decentralized web. MetaMask is developing a seamless identity experience that enables users to access product features through a single, reusable identity layer.

Universal KYC (UKYC) and MetaMask Passport aim to replace fragmented identity verification experiences with a privacy-conscious, globally compliant identity layer across the MetaMask ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision and roadmap for Universal KYC and MetaMask Passport.
• Define how a reusable identity layer can unlock the broader MetaMask product stack.
• Build the underlying identity platform, including scalable verification primitives and standards that can be adopted across products.
• Design a seamless, low-friction KYC experience that reduces time-to-first-transaction while maintaining compliance integrity.
• Drive adoption across MetaMask by partnering with internal teams to integrate a consistent identity layer.
• Balance privacy, trust, and global regulatory requirements.
• Lead execution end-to-end, align cross-functional teams, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Requirements

• Proven experience building or scaling identity verification (IDV), KYC, or onboarding products.
• Strong background in fintech, ideally with exposure to Web3.
• Hands-on experience working with identity verification providers such as Sumsub, Veriff, Onfido, Persona, or Stripe Identity.
• Familiarity with compliance workflows, including KYC, KYB, and customer due diligence (CDD) processes.
• Track record of delivering platform products adopted across multiple teams.
• Ability to operate across technical systems and user experience.
• Strong product judgment, user empathy, and understanding of trust, privacy, and compliance trade-offs.
• Clear, structured communication skills and the ability to drive alignment and momentum.
• High ownership and ability to operate in ambiguity.

Compensation

The US salary range is $130,000–$187,000 USD, excluding bonus, equity, and other benefits. This range applies to US-based candidates only. Compensation for candidates outside the US, including Canada, EMEA, and LATAM, will be determined based on location, experience, and skills.
