NVIDIA’s Agentic Cybersecurity Research team is seeking an AI Security Researcher to develop technology that protects AI models, systems, and infrastructure. The role focuses on using AI to improve cybersecurity and securing AI models and agents.

Responsibilities

Conduct novel research on improving cybersecurity and AI.
Research methods for using models and agents to improve cybersecurity and for securing models and agents.
Develop tools and processes to expose or remediate weaknesses in conventional and AI systems.
Contribute research on new problems in AI and security.
Present results by publishing in peer-reviewed venues or sharing findings with security, machine learning, and business communities.
Share research results with teams across NVIDIA and solve relevant problems in a range of contexts.

Requirements

Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in machine learning, cybersecurity, or closely related fields.
Demonstrated programming expertise.
Outstanding knowledge of AI and conventional software weaknesses and mitigation strategies.
In-depth understanding of generative AI workflows.
Self-starter with a passion for growth, continuous learning, and sharing findings.
Motivation and curiosity about new technologies.
Ability to present sophisticated technical information clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong collaboration skills and a history of successful cross-functional projects.
Experience discovering CVEs and building successful tooling.
Knowledge of adversarial machine learning and techniques for defending against adversarial attacks.
Experience with secure software development practices.
Ability to build human-friendly resources.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is $168,000–$264,500 for Level 3 and $192,000–$304,750 for Level 4. Salary is determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The role also includes eligibility for equity and benefits.
