NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive the automation, design, and operation of the Linux platform powering physical Linux clients and large-scale AI agent compute platforms. The role supports Linux environments across physical systems, virtual machines, and public cloud infrastructure, with a focus on scalability, reliability, security, and next-generation agentic services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Linux and cloud infrastructure initiatives, including architecture, provisioning, configuration, deployment, and ongoing operations.
  • Build automation using shell scripting, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Develop and maintain automated workflows for Linux provisioning, patching, configuration, security hardening, and lifecycle management.
  • Deploy and operate cloud infrastructure and integrate cloud services with on-premises environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams across NVIDIA to deliver infrastructure capabilities that support business outcomes.
  • Continuously improve the reliability, security, maintainability, and operational standards of the platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in Linux systems, infrastructure, platform, site reliability, or cloud engineering.
  • Deep hands-on experience administering, securing, and optimizing Linux environments.
  • Proven cloud architecture and engineering experience with AWS or Azure.
  • Strong shell scripting and automation skills, including experience with a configuration management platform such as Chef or Ansible.
  • Experience using Terraform to provision infrastructure.
  • Experience with AI-native development and coding agents to improve developer productivity.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in Go or Python.
  • Experience using GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions to automate deployments.
  • Experience designing and operating hybrid-cloud or multi-cloud Linux environments.
  • Experience with container runtimes, Kubernetes, immutable infrastructure, or automated operating-system image pipelines.
  • Willingness to contribute to a high-trust, collaborative culture while bringing a unique perspective to the team.
