NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive the automation, design, and operation of the Linux platform powering physical Linux clients and large-scale AI agent compute platforms. The role supports Linux environments across physical systems, virtual machines, and public cloud infrastructure, with a focus on scalability, reliability, security, and next-generation agentic services.

Responsibilities

Lead Linux and cloud infrastructure initiatives, including architecture, provisioning, configuration, deployment, and ongoing operations.
Build automation using shell scripting, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
Develop and maintain automated workflows for Linux provisioning, patching, configuration, security hardening, and lifecycle management.
Deploy and operate cloud infrastructure and integrate cloud services with on-premises environments.
Collaborate with engineering teams across NVIDIA to deliver infrastructure capabilities that support business outcomes.
Continuously improve the reliability, security, maintainability, and operational standards of the platform.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience in Linux systems, infrastructure, platform, site reliability, or cloud engineering.
Deep hands-on experience administering, securing, and optimizing Linux environments.
Proven cloud architecture and engineering experience with AWS or Azure.
Strong shell scripting and automation skills, including experience with a configuration management platform such as Chef or Ansible.
Experience using Terraform to provision infrastructure.
Experience with AI-native development and coding agents to improve developer productivity.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in Go or Python.
Experience using GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions to automate deployments.
Experience designing and operating hybrid-cloud or multi-cloud Linux environments.
Experience with container runtimes, Kubernetes, immutable infrastructure, or automated operating-system image pipelines.
Willingness to contribute to a high-trust, collaborative culture while bringing a unique perspective to the team.
