Details

Senior Software Engineer with deep Workday expertise to help evolve and scale Bloomberg’s Workday HCM ecosystem, building and maintaining Workday integrations and Extend applications.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain Workday integrations and Extend applications that support critical HR processes
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
Own end-to-end delivery—from design and development to deployment and optimization
Drive innovation by incorporating AI and automation into ERP workflows and processes
Improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability across the Workday platform

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Workday developer
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with PeopleSoft Payroll, Application Designer, App Engine, SQR, Peoplecode, Integration Broker, BI Publisher, SQL
Strong expertise in Workday Studio, Extend, EIB, Report Writer, Calculated Fields, and Connectors
Solid experience with integration technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, XSLT)
Background in systems engineering, specifically enterprise application development
Strong understanding of HR systems and business processes
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proactive, ownership-driven mindset focused on delivering results
Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, and Linux
