Details

NVIDIA's Automotive Software team is responsible for delivering core development programs for DRIVE OS, supporting customer-specific programs, the generic automotive development platform, and new technology bring-up and development. The role supports software development teams, drives and tracks releases and automotive safety milestones, manages software postings, and communicates plans across business units.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and track software releases for new hardware and software features.
  • Lead the software release cycle across development, hardware integration, software quality assurance, and product management.
  • Define releases and manage features, bug fixes, testing, and documentation.
  • Manage risks and resolve issues affecting release scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on software issues and technical feedback.
  • Communicate program status and key issues to management.
  • Define and manage work packages for external consultants.
  • Ensure successful deployment of DRIVE OS processes within assigned releases.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and ASPICE best practices.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience leading system software engineering projects.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience planning, managing execution, and driving resolution of roadblocks for embedded and operating systems software.
  • Proficiency in configuration and change management.
  • Excellent communication and technical presentation skills.
  • Experience leading global projects and successful releases with short cadences.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to build consensus.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve technical issues and resource conflicts and deliver complex products to customers on time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ISO 26262 or ISO 21434 assessment experience.
  • ASPICE assessment experience for MAN process areas.
  • Previous experience as an automotive software developer or program manager.
  • Proficiency with Jira and/or Jama, including the ability to train engineering teams.
  • Hands-on scripting experience with Python, Google Scripts/JavaScript, REST APIs, or Google Sheets.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range: USD 168,000–258,750 for Level 4, or USD 200,000–322,000 for Level 5, depending on location, experience, and compensation for similar positions.
  • Eligible for equity and benefits.
