Details
NVIDIA's Compiler team develops compiler technology for Deep Learning, Machine Learning, High Performance Computing, Graphics, and Automotive applications. The Senior Technical Program Manager will support the Compiler Development team by delivering current compilers to developers and managing product releases. This role involves cross-functional coordination in a matrixed organization, software development process documentation, and process development and implementation across the Compiler organization.
Responsibilities
- Drive software programs and processes hands-on.
- Lead multifunctional team members in a matrix organization to deliver projects on time.
- Lead projects using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Present project status to multifunctional teams and executive management.
- Work independently and influence teams with minimal mentorship.
- Coordinate with global partners across time zones, geographies, and technical fields to define work, report status, and deliver projects as expected.
- Improve development environments through process development and process improvement.
- Follow escalation processes when planned work product tasks are not on track.
- Break down sophisticated projects into manageable tasks and milestones and communicate them effectively to multifunctional teams.
- Develop and implement workflows between different teams.
- Resolve technical issues and resource conflicts through consensus building and collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent experience, in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 or more years of experience in a similar or related role.
- Validated software engineering background and technical skills.
- Ability to investigate technical issues, with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of operating systems, software development standard methodologies, and compilers.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Creative problem-solving ability, including resolving technical issues and conflicting priorities.
- Experience with program management fundamentals, including risk management, tracking and monitoring, meeting facilitation, domain expertise, time management, and problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with open-source ecosystems and related challenges.
- LLVM upstream contributions.
- Repository mirroring and unification experience.
- Knowledge of compilers, GPUs, CUDA, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or deep learning.
- Experience with project management tools such as JIRA and Microsoft Project.
- Experience implementing tool automation.
- Project Management Professional certification.
Benefits
- Base salary range of USD 168,000 to USD 258,750 per year, determined by location, experience, and compensation for similar positions.
