Details

The ADAS Platform team builds a scalable and modular software stack that powers advanced driver-assistance systems across product lines and OEMs. This role focuses on software architecture, performance analysis, interoperability, and deterministic execution flows across multiple layers of the software stack. The position contributes to platform scalability and integration in a complex multi-OEM environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive architectural improvements that simplify and modularize the software stack.
  • Design and develop clean component boundaries using a performance-first approach.
  • Refactor ADAS components to support reuse, extensibility, and long-term maintainability.
  • Partner with software, systems, and hardware teams to define clear interfaces and improve integration velocity.
  • Establish test coverage, design reviews, and architectural documentation that scale with the platform.
  • Profile and tune system performance for modern multicore and real-time environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong C++ programming skills.
  • Strong understanding of modular software architecture, clean code design, and separation of concerns.
  • Hands-on experience building and debugging multithreaded, real-time, or performance-critical systems.
  • Familiarity with parallel or distributed systems and low-level system profiling.
  • Experience working with Linux, QNX, or other embedded real-time operating system environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative, hard-working attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing ADAS software, particularly Planning, Sensor Fusion, Mapping, or Localization components.
  • Deep understanding of real-time operating systems, especially QNX.
  • Familiarity with the automotive software lifecycle and integration across safety-critical systems.
  • Experience with memory management, DMA engines, and hardware abstraction layers.
  • Experience using Git and Bazel in large-scale software environments.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range: $184,000–$287,500 for Level 4.
  • Base salary range: $224,000–$356,500 for Level 5.
  • Base salary is determined by location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
  • Eligible for equity and benefits.
  • Applications accepted at least until April 26, 2026.
  • NVIDIA is an equal opportunity employer and uses AI tools in its recruiting processes.
