This is a 12+ week hybrid technical internship in which interns write and ship production code used by millions of developers. Interns will join an SDK, Product, or Ingest team. SDK work may involve frameworks and tools such as the Python SDK and AWS Lambda extensions, while Ingest work involves pipelines including the open-source Relay and Symbolicator projects that process millions of events every minute.

Responsibilities

Be matched with an SDK, Product, or Ingest team based on interests and experience.
Design, develop, and ship programming solutions that deliver value to customers.
Receive feedback, coaching, and mentorship from a manager and teammates.
Collaborate with an engineering team and present the completed work to the Sentry team.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science or a related field.
At least one previous internship or equivalent hands-on experience.
Experience collaborating on an engineering project through coursework, open source, or work.
Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures fundamentals.
Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or a similar dynamic language through internships, personal projects, or coursework.
Ability to learn and use new programming languages or frameworks quickly.
Comfortable using GitHub, including branching, pull requests, and code review.
Available to start in summer 2027.
Able to relocate to Vienna, Austria, for the duration of the internship.

Compensation

EUR 2,800–3,285 per month.
The legally quoted minimum wage is EUR 43,456 gross per year, in accordance with the Austrian IT collective agreement (IT-KV).
