The team develops software services and platforms used by millions of Stripe users.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end delivery of projects with limited oversight, including scoping, designing, implementing, and productionizing features.
Collaborate with stakeholders across product, design, infrastructure, marketing, and operations.
Debug production issues across services and improve the team’s overall operational health.
Develop and execute against short- and long-term goals.
Establish and uphold best practices in engineering, security, and technical design.
Work alongside design, product, and engineering peers to build and maintain solutions that help merchants grow their businesses.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

2+ years of industry software engineering experience, excluding internships and co-ops.
Strong coding skills in any programming language; the interview process is language agnostic.
Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work across team workstreams and contribute to peers’ success.
Ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external cross-disciplinary stakeholders.
Interest in working as a generalist across varying technologies and stacks to solve problems for internal and external users.

Preferred Qualifications

Track record of working directly with customers and influencing product decisions.
Experience integrating robustly with external systems and APIs.
Experience in both frontend and backend development.
