Details

Airbnb is building a scalable shared platform that accelerates Machine Learning design, development, and deployment across the company. This role will contribute to GenAI infrastructure and ML platform capabilities that support foundational language and vision models and enable high-quality ML use cases.

Responsibilities

Build scalable GenAI infrastructure to support Airbnb teams using foundational language and vision models for next-generation product experiences.
Expand the ML platform to improve the productivity of more than 200 ML Engineers and Data Scientists.
Create scalable human and AI labeling infrastructure and data foundations for data-driven product features.
Use open-source technologies including Ray, MLFlow, TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, Airflow, Spark, Docker, Kubernetes, and JupyterHub.
Collaborate with customer teams, including Customer Support, Search Relevance, and Trust & Safety, to deliver high-impact product outcomes.

Requirements

9+ years of industry experience and/or relevant academic experience.
Solid understanding of engineering and infrastructure best practices.
Strong coding skills in Python, Java, or an equivalent language.
Strong experience and knowledge of distributed systems.
Industry experience building end-to-end Machine Learning Platforms is a plus.
Experience developing and productionizing machine learning models is a plus.
Experience with Kubernetes, Spark, Docker, and Airflow is a plus.

Location

This position is US remote eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with the manager. Candidates must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
