Details

GTM Systems builds and operates the platform used by Sales and contracting to process real transactions and generate critical company data. The role will establish a mature software engineering practice for the team, including pull requests, CI/CD, automated user acceptance testing, and production deployment workflows. It also involves standardizing AI-assisted development and building agentic tooling on top of enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture reviews for GTM systems that process lead-to-cash transactions and generate business-critical data.
  • Architect and mature the team’s engineering pipeline, including pull request workflows, CI/CD, automated UAT, and deployment from source control to production.
  • Establish shared standards for AI-assisted development and agentic workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams outside GTM on shared architecture and tooling decisions.
  • Build and shape agentic tooling on top of the platform and establish patterns for future implementations.
  • Trace dependencies between upstream data and downstream quoting and provisioning systems to assess the impact of design decisions.
  • Partner with platform developers to expand the team’s ability to ship safely.

Requirements

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including version control, testing, code review, deployment automation, and simple system design.
  • Experience building a team delivery pipeline and explaining the sequencing decisions behind it.
  • Experience leading a team through a significant improvement in engineering practices as its scope expanded.
  • Fluency with AI coding tools and agentic development workflows, including approaches for standardizing their use across a team.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions across teams without direct reporting authority and drive decisions.
  • Ability to reason about systems outside your ownership and predict the effects of changes.
  • Preference for influencing through demonstrated work rather than positional authority.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with business-critical enterprise platforms where financial correctness and auditability are important.
  • Experience with Salesforce or comparable enterprise platforms, including metadata and deployment models.
  • Experience building tooling or agents on top of an enterprise system of record.
  • Experience working in a company subject to audit or compliance constraints.
