Airbnb's Chief Business Officer organization drives growth and expansion by commercializing new and existing businesses. The team is expanding into travel-adjacent services to address guest needs and make travel more memorable.

As a Senior Programs & Business Operations Lead, you will help drive the global expansion of Airbnb's Services business, focusing on emerging service categories. You will co-develop and execute strategies to take new categories from concept to launch and scale. Working across functions and applying analytical rigor and operational excellence, you will build the programs, processes, and business frameworks needed to integrate new services into travelers' journeys.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement end-to-end program plans for launching and scaling new service categories.
• Drive go-to-market planning and execution across geographies, ensuring operational readiness and alignment with business objectives.
• Coordinate across Business Operations, Market Management, and Product Pods.
• Align engineering, design, marketing, and legal teams toward shared goals without direct authority.
• Write SQL queries to independently extract insights from raw data.
• Build financial models, size market opportunities, and establish KPIs such as revenue, conversion, and quality.
• Support fast, test-and-learn iterations and data-driven decision-making.
• Evaluate supply sourcing strategies for emerging categories, including local hosts and structured partnerships.
• Build the operational foundation required to scale new service categories.
• Identify funnel bottlenecks, develop contingency plans, translate local market feedback into scalable requirements, and improve processes and systems.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in business operations, program management, or strategy roles within high-growth businesses.
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling new businesses or programs and driving cross-functional alignment.
• Marketplace experience, particularly within a digital company, preferred.
• Ability to operationalize strategic plans by establishing programs, building processes, and driving execution in complex global markets.
• Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills.
• SQL proficiency is required, including the ability to independently pull data, conduct complex analyses, distill insights, and translate them into actionable business strategies.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience influencing executive leadership and driving accountability across diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Ability to foster transparency, accountability, and a unified vision across teams.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
• Creativity in designing business models, incentive structures, and operational frameworks.
• Ability to develop tools and systems, interpret business risks, and recommend best practices to improve operational efficiency at scale.

Location

This position is US remote eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with the manager. Employees must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity; certain states are excluded. Compensation And Benefits

The base pay range is $204,000–$249,000 USD. Actual base pay depends on factors including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
