Details
Anthropic is seeking an AI Fluency Education Lead to create courses and content that teach people how AI works and how to work well with AI. The role focuses on model-agnostic, durable skills and understandings that help people use AI well and safely, rather than product training.
The role combines writing, filming, prototyping, publishing, curriculum ownership, and building systems that expand the reach of educational content. You will create a modular library of short videos, exercises, frameworks, and one-pagers that are free and openly licensed, along with AI-assisted pipelines that remix and assemble content for specific learners. You will collaborate with other teams to determine target audiences, priorities, and formats, and work with a sister education group researching AI fluency and how to measure it.
Responsibilities
- Own the curriculum for general-public AI fluency end to end, including the roadmap, sequencing, quality bar, and decisions about what to teach.
- Curate and create curricula, courses, videos, essays, exercises, and interactive lessons.
- Set the quality bar for partner content creation engagements.
- Build AI-assisted production pipelines that shorten the path from an idea to a published piece while improving quality.
- Turn research frameworks into accessible material for nurses, teachers, small business owners, policymakers, community leaders, and other audiences.
- Learn from and co-create with educators, public-sector organizations, community groups, and other outside institutions.
- Prototype AI-enabled learning formats, including personalized paths, conversational practice, and adaptive assessment.
- Put rough versions of new learning formats in front of real people within days rather than quarters.
- Measure whether teaching results in comprehension and changed behavior, rather than relying only on completion metrics.
Requirements
- Deep experience designing content and curricula for adult learners at significant scale.
- Exceptional writing skills for general audiences, including the ability to explain technical ideas through accurate and intuitive mental models.
- Experience creating multimedia learning content end to end, including scripts, video, and interactive content.
- Experience working with agencies and partners to deliver multiple projects on short deadlines.
- A working practice of using Claude and other large language models as infrastructure in production workflows.
- Sufficient technical comfort to build light tooling and automations; this is not an engineering role, but the candidate should be comfortable contributing to production pipelines.
- Experience-derived opinions about pedagogy and willingness to change them based on data.
- Satisfaction in creating materials that other people can teach without direct oversight.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment while building processes along the way.
- Experience making people fluent in something at scale. A background in AI or a degree in education is not required.
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
Strong Candidates May Also Have
- Experience building an education program or content function from nothing.
- Experience in public education, civic technology, or policy communication.
- A background in AI/ML education, learning science, cognitive science, or behavioral research.
- Experience co-creating content with outside institutions and partners.
- Experience building AI-augmented content pipelines.
Compensation
The annual salary range is $270,000–$365,000 USD.
