Details
Bloomberg's Buy-side Enterprise Services team supports global buy-side customers using portfolio enterprise reporting and order management system solutions. Bloomberg Asset and Investment Manager (AIM) provides multi-asset solutions for portfolio management, trading, and operations, including order, execution, and position management tools.
The AIM Trade Desk Support team in San Francisco provides client-facing support to buy-side professionals using Bloomberg's order management solutions. The role involves troubleshooting client issues, explaining product capabilities, supporting business-critical workflows, and collaborating with Implementation, Sales, Engineering, and Product teams.
Responsibilities
- Build a comprehensive understanding of the features and capabilities of Bloomberg's OMS offering through training and on-the-job learning.
- Develop deep knowledge of products and client use cases, sharing insights across the team.
- Stay current on market trends and understand their impact on client workflows.
- Troubleshoot issues related to AIM while assessing potential business and operational impacts.
- Foster excellent client relationships through strong product knowledge and workflow expertise.
- Identify gaps and opportunities to introduce best practices and processes that improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with Implementation, Sales, and Engineering teams to improve client experience and technology performance.
- Manage client expectations through timely and effective communication during systemic issues or escalations.
- Raise issues and liaise with Product and Engineering teams regarding enhancements and client-requested remediation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in financial services or a financial technology company.
- Experience supporting an OMS or other electronic trading systems.
- Exposure to pre-trade, at-trade, or post-trade buy-side workflows.
- Strong multitasking, prioritization, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to take ownership of issues and manage them through resolution.
- Aptitude for learning new technologies and procedures.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, plus proficiency with PowerPoint and Word.
- Demonstrated career progression and ownership in prior roles.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of workflows used by traders, portfolio managers, compliance officers, and middle-office users.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI and Visio.
- Experience with Bloomberg products.
- Knowledge of connectivity protocols such as FIX, TNP, or XML.
- Business proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or other languages.
- Professional certification such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent qualifications.
- Familiarity with APIs, data structures, or programming concepts such as Python.
- Interest in emerging technologies such as AI for improving workflows and internal tools.
