This Chapter Lead role within ABN AMRO Mortgages offers an opportunity to help shape and build a newly introduced chapter while gradually growing into the full Chapter Lead responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Combine working in a DevOps team with taking initial steps in leading a chapter of professionals.
  • Take responsibility for HR-related processes, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance cycles.
  • Coach and support chapter members in their personal and professional development.
  • Drive performance, growth, and career development of chapter members.
  • Foster a healthy, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
  • Shape and evolve the chapter vision and way of working, including craftsmanship.
  • Work closely with the IT Lead, who will coach and guide you in developing into the Chapter Lead role.
  • Collaborate with other Chapter Leads to strengthen the chapter community.
  • Stimulate knowledge sharing through communities, events, and collaboration initiatives.
  • Contribute as a specialist within a multidisciplinary DevOps team.
  • Stay up to date with technological and market developments and share insights within the team and chapter.
  • Gradually grow into full ownership of the Chapter Lead responsibilities as the chapter matures.

Working Environment

You will work within ABN AMRO Mortgages, where business and IT collaborate closely to deliver value for customers. You will be part of a multidisciplinary DevOps team consisting of professionals such as developers and product owners. At the same time, you will help build and shape a chapter of professionals with similar expertise.

The role operates in a hybrid setup, typically meeting at the office one to two days per week. You are required to reside in the Netherlands. The Mortgages office is located in Amersfoort.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience; the specialized .NET requirements ask for at least 8 years of experience as a .NET developer.
  • Experience in a relevant technical or functional domain.
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment.
  • Affinity with coaching and ambition to further develop leadership skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Genuine interest in developing people and building strong teams.
  • Proactive mindset and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability and motivation to grow into a leadership role with support and coaching.
  • Transparent and reflective attitude, including willingness to give feedback to chapter members and the IT Lead.
  • University or higher professional (HBO) level of education and working ability.
  • Strong experience developing applications using C# and Git.
  • Experience building microservices that communicate asynchronously.
  • Ability to build Docker containers.
  • Profound knowledge of Azure and Kubernetes.
  • Experience creating CI/CD templates in Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to oversee complex business processes and look beyond the boundaries of your own team when developing systems.
  • In-depth expertise in architectural principles, testing methodologies, security risks, continuous delivery, and cloud infrastructure.

Nice to Have

  • Experience within the financial services or mortgage domain.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum ways of working.

  • Gross monthly salary of €6,066–€8,666 based on a 36-hour work week, including holiday allowance and a flexible benefit budget.
