Role overview
As a Competitive Intelligence Manager you will operate at the intersection of AI-powered workflows, strategic research, and sales enablement. This role owns and evolves the Win/Loss program, builds AI-assisted research and analysis workflows using Claude and other tools, and serves as a key resource for Sales and Marketing in competitive situations. The role reports to the Senior Director of Market Intelligence and has scope to shape the CI program.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Win/Loss program with a third-party interview vendor: own cadence, scope, and quality of deal coverage across Endpoint, Identity, and MDR segments.
- Analyze and synthesize interview findings into competitive themes, patterns, and deal-level insights; surface the "so what" for the business.
- Translate Win/Loss themes into sales plays in partnership with Sales Enablement to change how sellers handle objections and position against competitors.
- Deliver regular Win/Loss reporting to Sales leadership, Product, and Marketing, with trend analysis and competitive exposure signals.
- Build and maintain AI-assisted research and analysis workflows using Claude and other tools to reduce manual lift of monitoring and insight generation.
- Develop reusable prompt frameworks for tasks such as competitor webpage differentiation analysis, product announcement summarization, and battlecard content generation.
- Document and iterate on workflow templates so CI outputs are scalable and repeatable.
- Stay current on AI tooling relevant to competitive intelligence and surface workflow improvements.
- Own battlecard development and maintain a current, accurate library structured for field use.
- Act as a real-time competitive resource for Sales and Sales Engineering during active deals, providing fast, high-quality analysis on demand.
- Deliver competitive training and enablement sessions for field teams.
- Serve as the human in the loop for AI-assisted content development: accelerate first drafts with AI but own editorial judgment.
- Monitor the competitive landscape across vendors: track product releases, pricing shifts, messaging changes, and go-to-market movements.
- Synthesize signals from analyst reports, earnings calls, social channels, customer conversations, and industry events into prioritized intelligence.
- Contribute to and maintain a centralized intelligence repository that is accurate, accessible, and structured for reuse.
- Partner with Product Marketing and Product Management to align competitive positioning and surface competitive gaps.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Channel, and Partner teams to embed competitive intelligence in external-facing programs where applicable.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, product marketing, strategy, or a related field, preferably within cybersecurity or enterprise SaaS.
- Experience with or interest in building a Win/Loss program and converting interview data into field-ready sales plays.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar) to accelerate research, synthesize information, and create structured outputs; comfort with prompt engineering.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to run multiple concurrent workstreams and meet deadlines without sacrificing depth.
- Exceptional written communication skills; ability to tailor deliverables for different audiences (Slack, battlecards, leadership briefings).
- Natural sense of curiosity and ability to notice and surface subtle signals.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and earn trust with Sales, Product, and Marketing stakeholders.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and skill at framing incomplete information clearly.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts (EDR, XDR, MDR, identity security) is a plus; aptitude to learn the domain quickly is required.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Note: this is a U.S. role; SentinelOne participates in the E-Verify Program for all U.S.-based roles.
Benefits
- Equity & Rewards: Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
- Time Off & Wellbeing: Flexible time off, paid company holidays and paid sick time, gender-neutral parental leave, grandparent leave.
