Details

The Data Observability Specialist will support the Technical Product Manager and engineering team in building and establishing the Enterprise Data Observability capability at Booking.com.

Responsibilities

Support the adoption of Data Observability tooling across business units.
Contribute to the Data Observability standard, including how it should work and the roles and responsibilities across the organisation.
Create Data Observability playbooks and user documentation for available tooling.
Contribute to the definition of Data Observability metrics.
Create reporting and dashboarding documentation for Data Observability.

Requirements

Technical background in data engineering, data governance, or data management.
Proven hands-on experience with Data Observability.
Experience with at least one Data Observability tool, such as Acceldata, Datadog, Monte Carlo, DQLab, or Validio.
Ability to analyse information and produce documentation.
Good communication skills and the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
