ClickHouse is seeking a Director of Product Management to own the security product strategy end to end, including vision, roadmap, build-versus-buy decisions, and multi-year investment strategy. The role requires deep collaboration with engineering on database security, networking, and identity management, as well as serving as the security subject-matter expert for other product managers.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for security offerings.
  • Advocate for the security roadmap internally with engineering and leadership, and externally with customers and the market.
  • Develop deep expertise in database security, networking, and identity and access management (IAM).
  • Partner with engineering, design, sales, and marketing to ship secure products.
  • Translate complex security requirements into specifications and user stories.
  • Own backlog prioritization and trade-offs involving business value, customer risk, and engineering cost.
  • Drive go-to-market activities for security launches, including positioning, sales enablement, and documentation.
  • Monitor the real-world performance of security features and use data to guide future product decisions.
  • Serve as the security subject-matter expert for other teams.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to product managers working on security-adjacent problems.
  • Represent ClickHouse's security posture and roadmap with customers, prospects, and analysts.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, with significant and sustained focus on security products or features.
  • Experience setting security strategy at an organizational level.
  • Hands-on experience with database security principles and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and their security implications.
  • In-depth knowledge of identity and access management (IAM).
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
  • Solid program management skills, including planning, execution, and risk management across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Track record of representing products externally with customers, analysts, or at industry events.
  • Ability to translate deep technical security topics for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience guiding or informally mentoring other product managers.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Sound judgment regarding when to escalate issues and when to make decisions independently.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with shifting priorities.
