Details
ClickHouse is hiring Full Stack Software Engineers for its Control Plane team. The team focuses on user experience, automated and scalable cloud infrastructure deployment, and lifecycle management. It builds and maintains the Cloud Console, a web application for managing organizational resources such as database services and user access, running queries through a SQL IDE, exploring data with interactive dashboards, and monitoring system performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable, highly available, resilient, and secure cloud-based infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship application features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications and infrastructure.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in cloud computing using AWS, Azure, or GCP, or in platform engineering.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON.
- Understanding of fundamental design principles for scalable applications.
- Proficiency with code versioning tools such as Git.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ClickHouse.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Previous experience developing analytics or data-intensive applications.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Auth0 or similar integrations.
- Monorepo experience with Yarn Workspaces, TurboRepo, or Nx.
- Previous work on developer tools, IDEs, or business intelligence platforms.
- Experience with WebSocket or real-time features.
Compensation
The typical starting salary range in the United States is $141,000–$208,000 USD per year. In premium markets, including the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City Metro Area, the typical starting salary range is $157,000–$230,000 USD per year. Actual compensation depends on factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs.
