Are you an inspiring leader with a passion for enterprise data, master data management and data governance? Within Value Stream Technology, you will shape ABN AMRO’s enterprise-wide data foundation. You will lead the Enterprise Data Management capability, ensuring that enterprise data assets are consistently defined, integrated and governed to enable high-quality, compliant and value-driven data usage across the bank.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Organisation

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of data professionals across Enterprise Data Management.
• Foster performance, growth and continuous improvement as an inspiring people leader.
• Build strong collaboration across Value Stream Technology, CDAO and business domains.

Enterprise Data Management Ownership

• Own and drive enterprise-wide master data management capabilities for enterprise data assets.
• Ensure the consistent definition, integration and maintenance of enterprise data assets across domains.
• Establish and maintain a single source of truth for key enterprise data, including organisation, reference and party data.

Strategy and Execution

• Translate strategic objectives into scalable data management capabilities, standards and solutions.
• Align business needs, data governance frameworks and data platform capabilities.
• Contribute to the evolution of the federated data organisation, enabling domain autonomy within central frameworks.

Data Governance, Quality and Compliance

• Ensure data is managed consistently, transparently and compliantly throughout its lifecycle.
• Safeguard adherence to regulatory requirements and internal control frameworks.
• Collaborate with Data Governance & Management and risk functions to maintain a compliant data landscape.

Stakeholder Management

• Engage with senior stakeholders across CDAO, CIO, data domains and business lines.
• Enable collaboration under the “two-in-a-box” model between Technology and business leadership through CDAO.
• Drive adoption of enterprise data standards, services and solutions across the organisation.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure reliable, scalable and secure delivery of enterprise data management services.
• Optimise processes and platforms to improve efficiency, data quality and time-to-value.
• Oversee budget planning, cost optimisation and investment decisions.

Working Environment

The Value Stream Technology organisation provides the core IT platforms and services underpinning the bank’s digital, data and AI capabilities. It integrates data, technology and security into one coherent structure with unified governance and prioritisation. Enterprise Data Management is positioned as a key capability within Data Engineering & Enablement and works closely with Data Governance & Management and Advanced Analytics.

Requirements

• An academic degree, such as an MSc or equivalent, in a relevant field.
• Experience running mission-critical, highly available applications and/or platforms.
• More than 10 years of experience in Data Management, Master Data Management or Data Governance.
• More than 5 years of leadership experience in complex, matrix organisations.
• Strong understanding of data platforms, data lifecycle management and enterprise data architecture.
• Experience in regulated environments; financial services experience is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• A strategic mindset combined with hands-on, pragmatic execution.
• Ability to drive change and build alignment across multiple domains.
• Analytical skills.
