About the Team
Specialist Solutions Architects are domain experts aligned to specific Stripe solutions and customer buying centers. They have in-depth knowledge of specific solution offerings and a deep understanding of customer challenges. They align with specialist product sellers on deals, advise the broader pre-sales team on complex opportunities, support pipeline development and revenue attainment, serve as advisors on go-to-market sales plays, and provide critical insights to product and engineering teams.
As Head of Specialist Solutions Architecture for Revenue, you will set the regional strategy and grow Stripe's SSA organization across the Americas. This role combines deep product expertise with regional leadership to help customers achieve their business goals through Stripe's revenue management solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute Stripe's technical sales strategy for the Revenue Suite in collaboration with Sales leaders, Marketing, Professional Services, Alliances, and Product Engineering.
- Build repeatable playbooks and establish execution best practices for Stripe's billing and revenue recognition offerings.
- Recruit, mentor, develop, and inspire team members.
- Advise CXOs, developers, architects, and other technical decision-makers on their long-term architectural direction for revenue management.
- Champion the voice of customers and influence product direction and priorities across the revenue management ecosystem.
- Partner with Sales, Professional Services, Support, and Product Engineering to guide customers from business and technical discovery through adoption, value realization, and expansion.
- Drive thought leadership through Executive Briefing Center presentations, industry events, white papers, and reference architectures focused on revenue management best practices.
- Build cross-regional collaboration and knowledge sharing across AMER and global functional teams.
- Shape the go-to-market approach for Stripe's Revenue Suite across AMER, including localization for regional regulatory requirements and market-specific billing practices.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in technical sales, solutions architecture, solution consulting, or a related customer-facing technical role.
- 10+ years of experience building and scaling pre-sales teams, including hiring, managing, coaching, and developing individual contributors.
- Deep understanding of subscription models, billing systems, and revenue recognition principles.
- Experience designing complex enterprise systems that support human-centric customer experiences.
- Experience operating across the United States, Canada, and Latin America markets and cultures.
- Strong executive presence, relationship-building, and cross-functional partnership skills.
- Ability to explain complex concepts to both business and technical audiences.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
