Details

Anthropic is hiring an IT Support Engineer to support employees in a mostly macOS environment, automate repetitive work, improve employee experience, and contribute to scalable IT operations. The role works closely with IT Engineering and Security and offers opportunities to develop deeper infrastructure and systems administration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and resolve hardware, software, networking, and account issues through the ticketing system, Slack, and in-person support.
  • Diagnose and fix issues across macOS, ChromeOS, iOS, Android, and SaaS platforms including Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, and Atlassian.
  • Troubleshoot device enrollment, configuration profiles, and policy enforcement.
  • Support access management and employee lifecycle workflows, including onboarding, offboarding, and reorganizations.
  • Handle escalations requiring cross-team coordination.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for urgent issues outside business hours.
  • Provide hands-on support for user technology, AV systems, conference rooms, and printers.
  • Communicate clearly with users at all technical levels.
  • Write and maintain runbooks, how-to guides, and knowledge base articles.
  • Identify recurring support issues and opportunities for automation.
  • Streamline onboarding and other high-volume operations.
  • Contribute to automation efforts.
  • Maintain and improve device management, identity, and access systems.
  • Write Bash and Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks.

Requirements

  • Hands-on IT support experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting macOS endpoints and familiarity with ChromeOS, iOS, and Android.
  • Experience administering Google Workspace.
  • Experience administering Slack, including workspace management, permissions, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting and administering SaaS tools.
  • Understanding of identity and access fundamentals, including SSO, MFA, and directory services.
  • Familiarity with MDM fundamentals and endpoint management concepts.
  • Basic Bash or Python scripting skills for automation.
  • Strong, methodical, and persistent troubleshooting skills.
  • Clear communication skills and a service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to take ownership of problems through resolution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with zero-trust security concepts and endpoint security tooling.
  • Knowledge of networking basics, including DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
  • Experience with IT projects such as migrations, tool rollouts, or process redesigns.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve individual or team productivity.
  • Interest in developing deeper technical skills and taking on more complex systems administration work.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Relevant field of study demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
  • Required years of experience correlate with the internal job level requirements.

Compensation

  • Annual salary: €125,000–€165,000 EUR.

  • Hybrid policy requiring staff to be in an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office time.
  • Visa sponsorship is available, although sponsorship cannot be guaranteed for every role or candidate. Anthropic retains an immigration lawyer to assist with sponsorship.
