Details
As a Product Manager for Business Technology, you will own internal products that shape how Anthropic works with Claude. You will work with internal customer teams such as Legal, IT, go-to-market, Product, Finance, and Security to understand their workflows, identify opportunities for Claude to remove friction, and ship software and automation that improves business outcomes.
The role requires strong product judgment, comfort with technical systems, and the ability to turn ambiguous internal needs into clear priorities. You will work closely with Engineering, IT, IT Engineering, Security, and the teams you serve. Success will be measured by adoption and business impact rather than feature delivery.
Responsibilities
Internal Product Ownership
- Own the roadmap for Claude-powered internal products and automation across one or more customer functions.
- Run intake and prioritization so that the highest-impact problems are built first and other requests receive a clear answer.
- Write clear problem statements and requirements that engineers can act on without rework.
- Ship iteratively, gather feedback from users, and continue improving products after launch.
Adoption and Business Impact
- Co-develop adoption roadmaps with internal customer teams and hold both sides accountable for delivery.
- Define success metrics before work begins and report adoption and business impact regularly.
- Plan rollout, training, and support as part of change management so that shipped products are adopted.
- Rework or discontinue products that are not delivering sufficient value.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Build trusted relationships with leaders in the functions served and translate their needs into product priorities.
- Partner with IT, IT Engineering, and Security on access, data handling, and governance to ensure internal Claude usage follows company policy.
- Coordinate with Legal and Finance on applicable product requirements.
- Communicate plans, progress, and tradeoffs clearly to teams and leaders.
Technical Leadership
- Understand how Claude, internal systems, and integrations work together to make sound scoping and sequencing decisions.
- Partner with Engineering on architecture choices that keep internal products maintainable and secure.
- Stay current on Claude capabilities and introduce relevant capabilities to internal teams.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Deep product management experience, including ownership of products used by internal teams.
- Experience shipping products that measurably changed how a team or function operates.
- Experience partnering with Engineering, IT, and Security teams on technical products.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain tradeoffs to executives and requirements to engineers.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and setting priorities across competing requests.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- A field of study relevant to the role, as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience building with large language models or agent tooling.
- Experience working on IT, internal tools, or business systems products.
- Experience leading change management or rolling out new tools across an organization.
- Knowledge of security and data-handling practices for internal systems.
Logistics
- Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; there is no application deadline.
- Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position.
- Staff are currently expected to work from one of Anthropic’s offices at least 25% of the time, although some roles may require more office time.
- Anthropic sponsors visas, although sponsorship is not available for every role and candidate. If an offer is made, Anthropic will make every reasonable effort to obtain a visa and provides assistance from an immigration lawyer.
- Anthropic offers competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and office space for collaboration.
