Details
NVIDIA is seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join its software tools group. You will design and develop tools that enable developers worldwide to harness the full power of NVIDIA products. The role involves developing tools for the management, burning, configuration, and debugging of NVIDIA networking products.
Responsibilities
- Lead portions of the tools' technical roadmap.
- Design and implement features in an Agile environment.
- Write code in C, C++, and Python using object-oriented programming methodologies.
- Technically lead the development of modern network tools for next-generation products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and specifications for debugging, configuring, and managing firmware.
- Take ownership of the entire development process, from design through production and verification.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Excellent C++ and Python programming skills.
- At least 5 years of programming experience.
- Strong object-oriented programming abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with a team of engineers in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to estimate effectively to ensure timely software delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to understand and quickly become productive in a large existing codebase.
- Ability to reverse engineer legacy code.
- Linux or Windows kernel experience and a deep understanding of software/hardware communication.
- Experience developing code that supports multiple operating systems, including Linux, Windows, VMware, and FreeBSD.
- Initiative and determination to complete work effectively.
Benefits
The position offers competitive salaries, equity, and a generous benefits package. The base salary depends on location, experience, and compensation for employees in similar positions. The salary range is USD 152,000–241,500 for Level 3 and USD 184,000–287,500 for Level 4.
