Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery, demonstrations, and validation activities, including proofs of value, to show how GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform addresses technical, regulatory, and business needs across the software lifecycle.
  • Own technical evaluations as the Directly Responsible Individual, including solution design, proof-of-concept and proof-of-value ownership, workshop design, and technical support for tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and regional sales teams on account strategies supporting customer acquisition and expansion in financial services.
  • Build relationships with technical practitioners and business stakeholders at banks, fintechs, and other financial institutions.
  • Advise customers on modern software development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud practices within financial services risk, governance, and compliance requirements.

  • Mentor other Solutions Architects, contribute to team learning initiatives, improve technical collateral and documentation, and share subject matter expertise.
  • Focus during the first year on driving GitLab platform adoption in commercial financial services accounts across North American time zones, influencing revenue growth through solution selling, and building long-term customer relationships.

Requirements

  • Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or related roles involving solution design, technical evaluations, and adoption planning.
  • Ability to solve broad, highly complex customer issues, including integration challenges and cross-functional technical scenarios.
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including DevSecOps, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud concepts.
  • Hands-on familiarity with GitLab or similar source code management, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, leading proofs of concept or proofs of value, and contributing to technical assessments, audits, or tender responses.
  • Ability to adapt technical and business communications for practitioners, leaders, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building and customer-focused skills, including listening, constructive challenge, and internal advocacy for customer requirements.
  • Interest in continuous learning, mentoring, and developing expertise in GitLab, AI, and DevSecOps.
