Details
As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will work with prospects and customers to align their goals and requirements with SentinelOne offerings. The role focuses on endpoint security, including prevention, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and threat hunting. You will support a Pacific Northwest territory and may travel up to 50%.
Responsibilities
- Work with sales partners to develop territory and account strategies and campaigns.
- Understand customer requirements related to security architectures across data center, cloud, and enterprise environments.
- Track and document aspects of the sales cycle that are primarily the responsibility of the Sales Engineer.
- Lead proof-of-concept and proof-of-value engagements.
- Prepare and lead technical presentations explaining how products and services work.
- Secure orders, guarantee product standards, and assure product delivery.
- Recommend new and improved products to customers and explain how software and services can be more cost-effective.
- Participate actively within the broader technical team by sharing experience and best practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in a pre-sales role, ideally in cybersecurity and preferably endpoint cyber defense.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent real-world cybersecurity sales or consulting experience.
- Demonstrable experience handling objections and positioning solutions against competitive technologies.
- Demonstrable experience speaking to both small and large audiences.
- Concise written and oral communication skills, with the ability to lead business and technical presentations, demonstrations, and conversations with executives and technical audiences.
- Demonstrable experience successfully selling to enterprise customers.
- Ability to explain and demonstrate complex product and security solutions both technically and to senior leadership.
- Basic knowledge of hacking and exploitation tools and methodologies, detection evasion techniques, notable malware, and anti-malware solutions and techniques.
- Experience in computer forensics, security architecture, penetration testing or red teaming, or incident response is a plus.
- Team-focused approach and positive attitude.
- Must be based in the Pacific Northwest.

The U.S. role has a base pay range plus commissions that vary based on the candidate's location. The posted range is the on-target earnings (OTE), inclusive of base salary and commissions. The OTE range is $196,000–$270,000 USD. A different pay range may apply in some locations.
