Responsibilities

• Act as an early member of a high-growth Enterprise Solutions Engineering team to solve technical and customer problems.
• Partner with Sales to articulate Grafana’s value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
• Own technical engagement with customers and help close opportunities through advanced competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
• Deliver product and technical presentations, demos, and technical evaluations to potential and existing customers.
• Proactively communicate customer feedback and competitive insights to Product Management and Engineering.
• Drive product conversations based on customer needs uncovered during engagements.
• Contribute to documentation, blog posts, videos, knowledge base articles, and other public and internal enablement materials.

Requirements

• Ideally located on the West Coast of the United States.
• 5+ years of technical pre-sales experience (ideally with Open Source technologies or in the Metrics/Monitoring space).
• Strong written and oral communication skills to collaborate with remote internal teams and worldwide customers.
• Ability to solve technical challenges, present creative solutions to customers, and work in a startup/high-growth environment with varied duties.
• Remote-first collaboration skills and the ability to work with an international team.
• A technical mindset and desire to grow technically; candidates with coding bootcamp, post-sales, or engineering experience are welcome.
• Self-motivated, initiative-taking, creative, and comfortable making independent judgments and leading where needed.

Compensation & Rewards

• United States OTE (On-Target Earnings) compensation range: $204,000 - $254,000 (actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset).
• All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
• Compensation ranges are country specific; recruiters will discuss market-defined pay ranges for applicants outside the listed location.
