Details

Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join its Enterprise Solutions Engineering team. The team consists of customer-facing product experts who support worldwide growth by educating potential and existing customers through demos, hands-on enablement, presentations, technical evaluations, and ongoing interaction. Solutions Engineers partner closely with Sales to qualify and close opportunities and provide customer feedback to Product Management and Engineering.

Responsibilities

Join an early member of a high-growth team focused on solving technical and customer problems.
Partner with the Sales team to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
Own technical customer engagement and help close high-velocity opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
Deliver product and technical presentations to prospective and existing customers.
Communicate proactively with customers and internal teams to provide feedback on products and the competitive landscape.
Drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems identified during interactions.
Enhance documentation, write blog posts, record videos, contribute knowledge base articles, and create public and internal enablement materials.

Requirements

Ideally located on the West Coast of the United States.
5+ years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally with open-source technologies or in the metrics and monitoring space.
Strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership skills for varied and complex startup responsibilities.
Ability to work and collaborate with an international, remote-first team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate product value propositions and technical advantages.
Enjoyment of solving technical challenges and developing creative customer solutions.
A technical mindset and desire to continue growing technically.
Candidates may have previous post-sales or engineering experience or may be recent coding bootcamp graduates.
Self-motivated, proactive, and creative approach to work.
