NVIDIA is developing the next era of computing through GPU-accelerated AI, robotics, and self-driving technologies. The Tegra team is seeking a senior system software engineer/architect to help develop systems and solutions for next-generation computing platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and craft system software related to ARM Trusted Firmware (ATF) for the Tegra platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, upstream communities, and strategic partners to design and implement innovative features and optimize performance.
  • Lead and mentor engineers to ensure high software quality standards.
  • Conduct code reviews and performance analysis.
  • Determine and implement system architecture and build guidelines.
  • Understand and guide project and program management and scheduling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8 or more years of experience in system software development.
  • Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming and debugging.
  • Deep understanding of operating systems, CPU architectures including ARM, x86, and RISC-V, GPU and computer architecture, and embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of ARM trusted components and boot and runtime interactions, including hypervisors, UEFI, Confidential Compute Architecture, security, power management, and performance analysis.
  • Experience collaborating with CPU and operating system communities and partners while driving next-generation topics and ideas.
  • Knowledge of safety and security standards such as ISO 26262, CERT-C, and MISRA-C is a plus.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and a record of delivering high-quality software solutions.

The base salary range is USD 184,000–287,500 for Level 4 and USD 224,000–356,500 for Level 5. The base salary is determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
