Software Engineer, CAD Automation

NVIDIA is looking for a Software/CAD Automation Engineer to build solutions that improve the productivity and efficiency of custom circuit design. The role involves working with multifunctional teams to ensure the robustness of designs that directly impact NVIDIA's product lines.

Responsibilities

• Work within a multifunctional team on projects involving pre-silicon and post-silicon hardware design and related data.
• Support circuit design engineers by automating typical design tasks and improving efficiency.
• Build flows and methodologies around vendor EDA tools and design collateral to streamline design and verification workflows.
• Work closely with design engineers to support the existing development infrastructure and identify potential improvements and solutions.
• Apply good software engineering practices to develop complex and scalable systems.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience; a PhD is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience with VLSI CAD flows and methodologies.
• Prior experience and background in VLSI are required.
• Good programming skills in multiple languages, including C++, Tcl, Python, Makefile, or other scripting languages.
• Good interpersonal skills; ability to learn quickly; proactive, innovative, highly motivated, and committed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with design collateral such as .v, .gv, .lib, and GDS files.
• Ability to work with multiple organizational levels and teams.
• Effective interpersonal and technical presentation skills.
• Self-starter with a passion for growth, continuous learning, and sharing findings with the team.
