About the Team

Developer & End-User Experience Platform (DEeP) owns the product platform that connects Stripe to users, including the dashboard and mobile app for merchants, enterprise-grade identity and access management, APIs, developer tools, and AI experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Work on cross-functional projects, directly collaborating with other engineers.
  • Give meaningful feedback on code reviews and technical designs.
  • Ensure that the systems your team operates continue running well and can scale to meet user needs.
  • Build the skills to own a project from beginning to end while learning project management and technical leadership skills.
  • Contribute to open-source software and help develop betas and prototypes.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of projects and help ensure that work is completed successfully.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be available to start full-time before October 1, 2026.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a directly related field, obtained by summer 2026, or equivalent work experience.
  • New graduate candidates should have no more than 18 months of professional experience, excluding internships.
  • Some programming experience and familiarity gained through side projects or coursework. Stripe primarily uses Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala, and Go, but candidates can learn new programming languages if they have strong fundamentals and general knowledge.
  • Experience from previous internships or collaborative work on multi-person coding projects in a university or professional setting.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar systems and understand them through independent research and collaboration with mentors and subject matter experts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialized knowledge balanced with general technical skills, such as deeper knowledge of frontend technologies and a high-level understanding of how a service handles an HTTP request.
  • Experience with code review practices and an understanding of how to safely update production systems.
  • Familiarity with navigating and managing work in large codebases.
