Airbnb is seeking a Staff, Advanced Analytics professional to serve as the analytics owner and strategic partner for Long-Term Stay & Luxe. The role will set the measurement and experimentation agenda, build quantitative models that support business growth, and operate as a peer to product and business leadership in a high-ambiguity, rapidly evolving environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end analytics strategy and roadmap for Long-Term Stay & Luxe, determining what to measure, what to test, and where the greatest leverage exists.
- Build and evolve quantitative models for supply-demand balance, marketplace liquidity, pricing, take-rate, lifetime value (LTV), and forecasting.
- Build the underlying data models and pipelines supporting these quantitative models.
- Design and analyze experiments across pricing, search and ranking, host onboarding, and guest conversion.
- Develop causal-inference approaches, including holdouts, proxy metrics, and quasi-experimental methods, when randomized trials are not feasible because of lower volumes or longer booking cycles.
- Act as a strategic partner to product, general management, and cross-functional leaders by surfacing insights and recommendations and shaping product, experimentation, and investment priorities.
- Build scalable, self-serve reporting and OKR tracking to provide leadership with real-time visibility into the businesses.
- Operate effectively in conditions of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and high intensity.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or a similar quantitative role.
- Experience operating as a proactive strategic partner to senior product and business leaders.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical detail and present clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build and ship quantitative models, including supply-demand, pricing, matching, LTV, and forecasting models, as well as the underlying logic and data pipelines.
- Experience designing and interpreting A/B experiments.
- Experience with causal-inference methods when traditional testing is not feasible.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with a marketplace business and/or incubating a business from 0 to 1.
- Experience with supply-demand modeling or geo-based analytics in a marketplace setting.
- Exposure to growth marketing analytics, including SEM, paid social, and performance channels.
- Awareness of emerging AI/LLM-driven discovery and search trends and their implications for organic traffic and demand generation strategy.
- Familiarity with marketing analytics and measurement methodologies, including marketing mix modeling (MMM), attribution, and campaign performance frameworks.
