Details
Bloomberg’s Enterprise Product Platform (EPP) group develops cross-product technologies that support coherence, serviceability, and scale. The group enables clients to robustly connect, integrate, and develop with Bloomberg’s capabilities, helping establish and ensure the flow of business-critical data.
The Technical Product Manager will drive client-centric offerings designed for use across Bloomberg’s Enterprise Products. The role involves driving feature development and product adoption, evangelizing products, establishing governance, and coordinating development contributions from teams throughout Bloomberg’s organization.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business lines throughout Bloomberg to explain the value of the technology, drive adoption, understand client problems, and extend the feature roadmap.
- Develop and socialize product standards, implementation guidance, and contribution frameworks that help Bloomberg teams efficiently deliver capabilities within the Enterprise Console.
- Drive governance strategy, communicate product standards, and devise evaluation approaches.
- Work directly with Engineering teams to design solutions that provide maximum return on investment, using execution strategies that provide incremental value.
- Prioritize product features and requirements backlogs by balancing business needs and technical readiness.
- Execute a comprehensive, multi-year product strategy.
- Collaborate with Implementation, Sales, and Account Management teams to create product messaging, collateral, and go-to-market strategies that drive product adoption and revenue growth.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure site effectiveness and load times, track user adoption, and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a Technical Product Management role.
- Demonstrable experience collaborating with UX and Engineering teams to produce enterprise-grade, user-facing products.
- Technical fluency in system architectures, programming interfaces, and industry connectivity protocols such as FIX, Web API, MQ, SFTP, and SWIFT.
- Ability to assess business processes, perform data analysis, and succinctly communicate insights.
- Confidence communicating directly with internal and external customers to convey information and capture feedback.
- Ability to influence and align stakeholders in matrixed organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in capital markets and financial technology.
- Familiarity with the trade lifecycle.
- Web development or enterprise systems development experience.
- Knowledge of React and event stream processing via Kafka/Flink.
- Hands-on experience with product usage analytics tools and business intelligence dashboards.
Benefits
Salary range: $140,000–$295,000 USD annually, plus benefits and bonus. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education or training, and skill level.
