About the Team
The Pricing Strategy team is part of Stripe's Product Marketing organization and is responsible for how Stripe prices its products. The team works cross-functionally with Product, Finance, and Sales on pricing decisions and evaluates pricing performance as products evolve.
The role requires a blend of financial analysis, strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and data analysis to help price new products and assess their pricing performance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct rigorous pricing analytics and strategy work on ambiguous, high-impact questions about the Stripe business, translating findings into clear recommendations that shape pricing decisions and commercial strategy.
- Analyze pricing realization and identify products where pricing adjustments may be warranted.
- Assess how factors such as multi-product adoption and user churn affect the economics of the business.
- Codify solutions to complex, recurring diagnostic questions that support pricing strategy and accelerate pricing decisions.
- Identify gaps in how pricing outcomes are captured and evaluated.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Finance, and Data teams to design and implement robust, scalable data and systems solutions.
- Translate complex findings into compelling, actionable narratives for senior stakeholders.
- Make well-reasoned judgments when data is imperfect or incomplete and develop creative diagnostic approaches.
- Collaborate across Engineering, Product, Finance, and Sales to drive alignment and implementation.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM or business major, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Business Administration.
- At least 5 years of experience in data-intensive roles focused on translating insights into strategic business outcomes.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with SQL, including at least 3 years of advanced SQL experience.
- Strong understanding of data relationships.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Product, Engineering, and Finance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to move between high-level strategy and granular system details.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a STEM major.
- Domain knowledge in pricing or go-to-market.
- Experience in fast-paced environments such as high-growth fintech, technology, or management consulting.
- Familiarity with Python, R, or similar languages for advanced data manipulation.
Compensation
- Salary: CAD 132,000–198,000 per year.
