Anthropic is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join its BizTech team. The role bridges business needs and technical solutions by translating complex requirements into technical specifications and architectural decisions. The analyst will configure, implement, and maintain business systems that support operational efficiency and scale with the organization’s growth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end delivery of technical projects from conception through launch.
  • Configure and customize business systems, including user permissions, workflows, and integrations.
  • Manage technical vendor evaluations for business applications, including contract negotiations, service-level agreements, and ongoing vendor performance assessment.
  • Create and maintain process flows, user guides, configuration specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Lead knowledge management initiatives.
  • Own technical risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
  • Liaise between technical teams and business users, translating complex technical concepts into accessible language.
  • Conduct system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to end users.
  • Monitor system performance and usage metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure business systems integrate with other platforms.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and business systems management best practices.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role in a technology-focused environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with systems configuration and customization across business applications.
  • Ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Strong technical documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and evaluating technology solutions.
  • Effective communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with API integrations and iPaaS solutions.
  • Interest in process improvement and automation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with enterprise-level business systems, database management, SQL, Agile or Scrum methodologies, business intelligence and reporting tools, ITIL or other IT service management frameworks, or knowledge management systems is advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Compensation

  • Annual salary: $205,000–$270,000 USD.

Work Policy and Immigration

  • Hybrid policy: Staff are expected to work from one of Anthropic’s offices at least 25% of the time.
  • Anthropic explicitly states that it sponsors visas, although sponsorship is assessed for each role and candidate.
  • The position is based in San Francisco, California.
