Architect the backbone of Europe's energy transition. Your platform choices will directly enable the engineers, analysts, and decision-makers driving one of Europe's most ambitious sustainability strategies. Responsibilities

• Define the architectural vision for Eneco's modern workplace strategy end-to-end: set direction, write blueprints, and transform business goals into scalable, maintainable architecture for 4,000+ users across multiple countries.
• Build and own the platform: lead delivery across Microsoft 365, Azure, AVD, Entra ID, Intune, JAMF, CyberArk, and SailPoint. Turn best-in-class tools into frictionless user experiences, pilot emerging workplace technologies, and iterate with data-driven insight.
• Champion security as a design principle: embed zero-trust and secure-by-design thinking into solutions from day one to safeguard employee experience and critical infrastructure.
• Lead through influence: align C-level vision with front-line technical realities, inspire internal teams, challenge suppliers, and orchestrate complex cross-functional stakeholder ecosystems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering — or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record designing and delivering workplace solutions for 1,000+ users in enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise in: Azure, Entra ID, Intune, AVD, Microsoft 365, CyberArk, JAMF, SailPoint, and modern workplace devices.
• Experienced with zero-trust, modern security architecture, and governance frameworks.
• Ability to align, explain, and influence at every level of the organisation.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred, not required).

Where you’ll work

• Based at Rotterdam HQ with flexible hybrid working: typically 40% at the office, 40% from home, and 20% flexibly. With manager approval, you may work abroad (within approved countries) up to 3 weeks/year (max 2 consecutively).
• You will join Eneco's Tech domain to reshape operations, applying technical mastery to support the company’s One Planet strategy toward climate neutrality.

Benefits

• Gross annual salary between €72.000 and €93.500 (including FlexBudget and 8% holiday allowance; depending on role a bonus or collective profit sharing may apply).
