Do you like to protect the bank's most valuable asset (data)?

As a financial institution we need to be in control of our data, especially sensitive data. As an Information Protection Analyst you will be responsible to protect this data against loss and misuse. This role is a revamped version of a DLP analyst that broadens the scope to Information Protection. Using different Purview modules you analyse and respond to data protection alerts. Your insights in data protection will be a valuable feedback loop to the business to better secure our data.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse alerts and respond to incidents using Microsoft Purview (Information Protection, DLP, IRM).
  • Protect sensitive data within a Microsoft environment and provide feedback to the business to improve data security policies.
  • Work closely with other teams within Cyber Defence and the CISO (Corporate Information Security Office).
  • Stay informed of developments in data protection and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Ensure day-to-day operations comply with laws and regulations such as GDPR and DORA and internal policies.

Requirements

Must have:

  • 2+ years relevant experience.
  • Good understanding of incident handling and risk management processes.
  • Good understanding of data security principles.
  • Understanding and experience working with the Azure Cloud / Microsoft environment.
  • Good communication skills; ability to communicate across all layers in the business.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of privacy regulations, laws and policies (GDPR, DORA).
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Purview DLP and Insider Risk Monitoring (IRM).
  • Background in Cyber Security Incident Management.
  • Experience working in DevOps/Scrum teams.

Working environment

  • You will work in the Cyber Defence department within CISO (Corporate Information Security Office), alongside roughly 150 colleagues.
  • Hybrid way of working: expected one to two days in the office per week in consultation with your manager. The office in Amstelveen is the home office for this role.

  • Gross monthly salary: €4.466 - €6.380 based on a 36-hour work week, including holiday allowance and a flexible benefit budget; placement in Hay scale 8 or 9 depending on experience.
