Details

Protect the bank's most valuable asset—data—as part of ABN AMRO's Information Protection team within the CISO (Corporate Information Security Office) Cyber Defence department. This role is a broadened version of a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Analyst position, focusing on information protection and the analysis and response to data protection alerts.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse and respond to data protection alerts using Microsoft Purview modules, including Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Information Rights Management (IRM).
  • Handle incidents and provide feedback on existing data protection policies.
  • Apply knowledge of data within a Microsoft environment to help maintain control over sensitive data.
  • Consider applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, including GDPR and DORA, in day-to-day operations.
  • Monitor developments in data protection and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Work closely with teams across the Cyber Defence department.

Requirements

Must Have

  • At least 2 years of experience.
  • Good understanding of incident-handling and risk-management processes.
  • Good understanding of data security principles.
  • Understanding of and experience working with Azure Cloud.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels of the business.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of privacy regulations, laws, and policies.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Purview DLP and Insider Risk Monitoring (IRM).
  • Background in cyber security incident management.
  • Experience working in DevOps/Scrum teams.

Working Environment

The role is based in Amstelveen within the Cyber Defence department, which is part of CISO and includes approximately 150 colleagues. ABN AMRO follows a hybrid working model, with an expectation to work in the office once or twice a week in consultation with the manager. The Amstelveen office is the home office for this role.
