The Director of Program Management for datacenter deployment at NVIDIA is responsible for establishing governance, standardizing methodologies, and overseeing the execution of client and datacenter rollout initiatives. The role builds and leads a high-performing PMO team while maintaining project management methodologies, standards, and tools across the client program coordination division.

This leader manages a portfolio of sophisticated, high-value projects and drives consistent delivery through resource allocation and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, supply chain, customer program management, onsite datacenter support teams, contractors, and systems integrators. Projects must be delivered on time, within scope and budget, and to required quality and safety standards. The Director also serves as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing executive-level reporting on project performance, risks, and financial health.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and manage a distributed team of project and program managers, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
• Develop, implement, and govern project management processes, tools, templates, policies, and metrics across customer and datacenter deployment programs.
• Lead the project portfolio, prioritize initiatives, manage dependencies, and align programs with organizational strategy and long-term datacenter deployment roadmaps.
• Ensure datacenter and customer projects adhere to timelines, scope, budgets, quality standards, and safety requirements from inception through design-in, deployment, commissioning, and post-production support.
• Optimize resource allocation across the portfolio and balance PMO and cross-functional capacity against strategic priorities and customer commitments.
• Collaborate with internal and external matrixed teams supporting datacenter deployment and lifecycle operations.
• Serve as the primary interface for executives, customers, partners, and vendors.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure third-party statements of work and deliverables provide high-quality, cost-efficient support for NVIDIA datacenter and cloud deployments.
• Identify project- and portfolio-level risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement quality assurance processes to minimize disruptions and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Drive organizational change initiatives related to PMO processes, tooling, and data adoption, including documentation, communication, and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A master’s degree, such as an MBA or technical degree, is highly desired.
• 15 or more years of progressive project or program management leadership experience.
• At least 5 years of experience running large-scale datacenter, cloud infrastructure, or complex hardware/software deployment programs.
• Experience building and leading a Program Management Office, program management team, or similar portfolio governance function in a high-tech environment.
• Experience working in a matrix leadership environment and coordinating resources across business units, geographies, and partner organizations.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority across engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams.
• Strong business judgment and critical thinking to align the portfolio with NVIDIA’s AI and datacenter strategy and demonstrate measurable value.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, risk management, and issue-resolution skills.
• Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, high-growth technology company.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or PgMP certification; PfMP or an equivalent portfolio-management certification is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of project, program, and change management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches.
• Proficiency with PMO tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Planview, and executive dashboarding platforms.
• Familiarity with datacenter technologies, cloud platforms, and large-scale infrastructure deployments.
• Experience with customer-facing or OEM/joint development programs.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary range: USD 272,000–425,500 per year, determined by location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
