NVIDIA is seeking a Principal Software Architect, Networking to help build the future of AI data centers. The role focuses on collective communication, vertical co-development of AI networks, and scalability for large model training. The work will drive innovation and contribute to large-scale production systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of next-generation scale-up fabric for AI data centers.
  • Focus on collaborative communication and vertical co-development of AI networks alongside hardware, software, and applications.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and robust training for large model development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and implement innovative solutions.
  • Create innovative concepts that can progress to full-scale manufacturing.
  • Partner with world-class talent to implement new technologies successfully.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in software architecture and networking.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Strong expertise in applied AI research.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and deliver high-quality results.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work with diverse teams.
  • A track record of innovation and the determination to compete at the highest level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or a related area.
  • Experience with large-scale AI data center operations.
  • Strong abilities in resiliency and tail-robust training methods.
  • Proven ability to generate world-class innovations.
  • Solid experience in the collaborative development of AI networks within specific sectors.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is USD 272,000–431,250 per year. The role also includes eligibility for equity and benefits.
