Coinbase is a remote-first, but not remote-only company, with quarterly in-person working sessions called “surges.” The company operates a compliant cryptocurrency platform serving more than 73 million accounts in over 100 countries.

Responsibilities

  • Scale and grow the HR Engineering team by hiring, onboarding, and training analysts and engineers supporting Workday and HR functional areas.
  • Provide functional and technical leadership and mentoring to team members.
  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Workday instance.
  • Design user-friendly processes, guidelines, and documentation.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to analyze business requirements and drive system planning, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Identify opportunities for automation across HR processes.
  • Drive regular reviews and support the implementation of HR system upgrades and patches.
  • Stay current with trends in HR technology.
  • Participate in and lead continuous-improvement projects.
  • Build and scale cross-functional teams across a geographically dispersed organization, including teams in the United States and India.
  • Manage vendor RFPs and relationships to support buying decisions for HRIS and related boundary systems.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience, including 3+ years leading an applications team supporting HR functional areas.
  • Working knowledge of Workday and related integrations.
  • Experience integrating with HR platforms such as applicant tracking systems, learning management systems, and performance systems.
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical partners to drive alignment.
  • Willingness to learn and apply processes unique to Coinbase's challenges.
  • Experience applying Lean, Agile, ITIL, or process-improvement practices to workflows.
  • Experience partnering with Security teams and delivering solutions subject to high security standards.
  • Ability to coordinate highly technical teams and effectively deliver value to stakeholders.
  • Ability to design and improve processes that solve problems in simple and scalable ways.
  • High proficiency in Jira, Slack, and G Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday certification.
  • Knowledge of and passion for cryptocurrency and blockchain.

Compensation

The annual base salary range is $193,970–$228,200 USD, excluding equity and bonus. Total compensation may also include equity, bonus eligibility, and medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.
