Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. The Payments engineering team powers the processing of hundreds of billions of dollars in card payments annually across the Asia Pacific, Europe, and Middle East regions.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for expanding Stripe’s global payments network and delivering a best-in-class card payments experience. The role involves making strategic, product, and technical decisions for systems that enable users to integrate with Stripe and accept payments across an expanding set of card networks.

Responsibilities

• Work with other Stripe leaders to author Stripe’s card payments strategy.
• Develop engineers on the team and help them advance in their careers.
• Empower the engineering team to achieve a high level of technical productivity, reliability, and simplicity.
• Manage processes that help the team do its best work and interface effectively with the rest of Stripe.
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Stripe’s engineering management team.
• Recruit engineers in collaboration with Stripe’s recruiting team.

• Commitment to high operational rigor when working with production systems.
• Experience building extensible software solutions that scale with business growth.
• Ability to thrive in collaborative, cross-functional, and cross-timezone environments while fostering a positive team culture.

• Experience with payments-related products.
• Experience working in global and cross-regional environments.
• Experience using AI tools to improve team execution, quality, and overall effectiveness.
• Experience building new teams.
• Experience developing product platforms for other product teams.
• A proven track record of collaborating with partners across multiple regions and time zones.
• Experience and comfort in a user-facing role.
